How it works
Simple, personal, and paid on delivery.
Prawn Man takes preorder requests, not online payments. You choose your seafood, Ryan confirms what he can bring on your run, and you pay when it’s handed over.
How it works
A preorder, not a checkout.
Step 1: Choose your seafood
Pick from the board and choose quantities. Weight-based items go in 250 g steps, oysters by the dozen.
Step 2: Send a request for a run
Choose an upcoming run at least 48 hours ahead, then meet the van at a stop or ask for delivery to your address along the route.
Step 3: Prawn Man confirms
We check availability and confirm your order and handover time by email. Nothing is final until we do.
Step 4: Pay on delivery
Pay cash or card when your seafood is handed over. No account and no online payment.
Questions people ask
Can’t see your question? Send us a message.
Do I need an account?
No. Send a request with your name, email and a phone number we can reach you on. You’ll get a reference and a private link to check your request.
When do I need to order by?
At least 48 hours before the run. Each run shows its exact deadline when you choose it, for example “Order by Monday 26 October, 10am”.
If you’ve missed it, choose the next run, or send a special request and we’ll see what we can do.
Is my order confirmed as soon as I send it?
Not yet. Your request is saved and you get a reference straight away. Prawn Man then checks availability and confirms your order and handover details by email. Only that confirmation makes it an order.
How do I pay?
Cash or card (taken in person with Square) when your seafood is handed over. There’s no online payment and nothing to pay when you send a request.
Is there a delivery fee or a minimum order?
There’s no delivery fee for stops and homes on the standard route, and no minimum order. Special arrangements outside the route are worked out with you individually.
How does pricing by weight work?
You choose a weight in 250 g steps and see the expected amount at the listed price per kilo.
Seafood doesn’t always pack to the exact gram. If the packed weight differs, the final amount is worked out at the same price per kilo and agreed with you at handover. There’s no hidden surcharge or tolerance.
Can I change or cancel my request?
Before your request is confirmed, you can cancel straight from your request link.
Once it’s confirmed, use the link or email us as soon as you can (ideally at least 24 hours before the run) and we’ll sort it out with you.
What if I can’t be there for the handover?
Please be reachable on the phone number you give and there at the agreed time. If something comes up, tell us as early as you can. If we can’t hand over your order, we’ll get in touch to work out what happens next.
Where does the van go?
Between Valla and Red Rock. The northern run travels from Red Rock down to Moonee Beach, and the southern run covers Valla. See The Prawn Run page for stops and planned days.
Can I collect instead?
Yes, by prior arrangement at 46 Arrawarra Beach Road, Arrawarra NSW 2456. It isn’t a walk-in shop, so please email us first.
What about larger orders, short notice or somewhere off the route?
Send a special request or email us. Availability, timing and any extra charge are confirmed with you individually.
Do you sell biltong?
Yes. Prawn Man stocks biltong, droewors and Trail Blazer from Cured Savage, a separate local business. Add them to your request from the biltong menu on the seafood page and they come with your seafood.
